Brant Food For Thought - School Snack Program

Brant Food For Thought is the lead agency that supports and facilitates Student Nutrition Programs in elementary and secondary schools in Brantford and the County of Brant.  We believe that good nutrition contributes to a child’s ability to learn and that all children and youth should have equitable access to the most nutritious foods possible. Brant Food For Thought is investing in our children and youth today, for a healthy and vibrant community tomorrow!

The school is in need of a few volunteers to organize and keep the snack program running.  These volunteers will work with “Food for Thought” to ensure that students receive a nutritious snack while at school 2 times per week.  If you are interested in helping with the snack program or for more information about the program, reach out to our school coordinator, Sonia Marques by calling the school at 519-449-2984.  Also please check Food for Thought website for inforamtion about the program.

The Snack Program has started.  Snacks will be provided on Tuesday and Thursday this year.  The program is looking for 2 - 3 volunteers to come in on Monday afternoons to prep the snacks and a couple of volunteers on Tuesday and Thursday mornings to fill the snack bins and deliver the snacks to the classes. To assist with selecting days that work best for you, Mrs. Marques is using (the leading online signup and reminder tool) to organize their upcoming snack days.
