Brant County Health Unit - Elementary Immunization Assessment and Suspension Process

Brant County Health Unit, under the authority of the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA), will be assessing the immunization records of students born in 2011. A letter and suspension order will be mailed to the homes of students February 4, 2019. This letter will provide instructions on what immunization information is missing, what parents need to do, and by when. If the missing information is not provided by the deadline, the student may be suspended for up to 20 school days. The suspension period is April 4 to May 6, 2019.

The Brant County Health Unit will be offering immunization clinics by appointment for students requiring immunization who are unable to get an appointment with their doctor.  If you have any questions during this process, please call 519-753-4937 ext. 445 or email immunizationintake@bchu.org.
